Sandringham School's Year 13 Drama A Level class present an evening of scripted pieces. Latecomers will not be permitted entry, as it is an examination.

Caucasion Chalk Circle by Bertolt Brecht        6pm

Considered one of Brecht's most celebrated works and a classic example of his 'Epic Theatre', the play is parable about a peasant girl who rescues a baby and becomes a better mother than its wealthy natural parents.

Metamorphosis by Frank Kafka                7pm

Adapted from the 1915 novella, by Berkoff in 1969, Metamorphosis tells the story of Gregor Samsa, a travelling salesman whom wakes up to find himself tranformed into a giant insect.

Five Kinds of Silence by Shelagh Stephenson        8pm

Stephenson's play,  an epotimy of the 'In Yer Face' Theatre on the 1990's, tells the story of a family living under the power of Billy, who viciously abuses his wife, Mary, and children; Susan and Janet.
